This was the largest sale of farm machinery in the county so far in 2018.
The auction was held at Little Prideaux Farm, St Blazey. Two days of heavy rain certainly did not deter sale goers in the slightest and the auctioneers were extremely grateful for the patience from everybody who parked in around the farmstead and in the parking fields both before and after the sale.
Over two hundred buyers registered to bid with many others in attendance. Buyers travelled from across the UK but the sale was extremely well supported by many locally known farmers.
Competition was fierce for all 200 lots on offer and many prices achieved were ahead of expectations.
Edward Buckland was the auctioneer on the day and commented “The tractors and farm machinery on offer was all under ten years old and extremely well maintained having only been used on the holding and then dry stored. Consequently, buyers were able to buy with confidence”.
