Firms Unite to Support worthy Farm Charities

Firms Unite to Support worthy Farm Charities. We are uniting with three other local businesses, all of which are familiar to the farming community to host a Charity Auction and Cornish Supper in aid of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and the Addington Fund at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show. Together with Cornish Mutual, Francis Clark Chartered Accountants and Barclays Bank we have joined forces to stage the event which will take place on the Friday evening of the show in the Cornish Mutual Pavilion.

It goes without saying that both charities perform a vital role within the County of Cornwall discreetly providing help and assistance to those in times of great need.

The inspiration for the event came from Edward who will also be the auctioneer for the evening and he commented “We are currently busy collating our lots for the auction and many local businesses have been incredibly generous. We are very much looking forwards to turning them into hard cash for two great causes.”

Brian Harvey, Agricultural Partner at Francis Clark said that “We are delighted to be able to work with the other partners in supporting the Charity Auction and Cornish Supper. The Royal Cornwall Show always brings out the best in the Cornish Farming community and hopefully with a spot of sunshine, a pasty and a saffron bun those attending will be at their generous best.”

Alan Goddard, the Managing Director of Cornish Mutual said that “Cornish Mutual are looking forward to hosting the auction and hope to see a full marquee and raise significant funds for two very worthy charities.

The proceeds of the event will also be match funded by Barclays Bank.  Helen Lane Agricultural Manager for West Cornwall of Barclays said that "As employees of the bank we are encouraged to support and assist in running local charity events and we can think of no better charities to be involved with."
