Edward Buckland MRICS FAAV
Director, Auctioneer & Chartered Surveyor
RICS Registered Valuer
Edward established the business in 2008 and has been privileged to work with many farmers and landowners during this time.
His biggest passion has to be the auction and he relishes the challenge of every sale we undertake for our clients no matter how big or small.
On the professional side, Edward qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006 and as an Agricultural Valuer in 2009. On a daily basis he deals with Valuations, Farm Management, Basic Payment Scheme Advice, Compensation, Sales and Leasing, Cropping and a range of Landlord and Tenant advice.
Outside of working hours he is kept on his toes by his two children Abigail and Harry.
Luke Telford BSc (Hons) MRICS
Director
Originally from Hertfordshire, Luke has over 22 years of experience as a land agent and chartered surveyor, building a strong reputation in landlord & tenant matters across all property types.
Throughout his career, Luke has worked closely with farmers and landowners, helping them navigate the complexities of property management and tenancy issues. Alongside general rural estate management, Luke provides advice on residential and commercial property, tenant disputes and compensation claims.
Outside of work, Luke will often be found in the gym or out exploring the beaches of Cornwall, something that was not so available to him in Hertfordshire!
Naomi Buckland
Accounts Director
Naomi heads up our Accounts Department within the office and specifically at auctions.
Naomi will be seen at machinery and collective sales running the accounts office and dealing with purchasers and vendors.
Neil Jeffery
Farming and Grants Consultant
Neil joined us in 2020 to assist our clients with Farming and Grants.
Having studied at Seale Agricultural College, Neil then spent over 20 years farming in his own right. Neil lives with his family at Summercourt and enjoys Rugby and Sailing.
Clare Smith
Office Manager
Clare has been with us since 2013 and provides a welcoming first point of contract and is responsible for the day to day running of the office.
Clare brings many years’ experience having previously worked for a large firm of Chartered Surveyors and Auctioneers and has knowledge of all the services provided by a rural professional team.
Tessa Phillips
Rural Grants and Planning
Tessa is currently on maternity leave.
Having graduated in 2018 from Harper Adams with a degree in Animal Science, Tessa assists Sarah with planning and grants.
Whenever spare time allows Tessa is not afraid of the gym.
Peter Fletcher
Consultant
Peter joined us in Spring 2017 as a Consultant bringing a huge wealth of local knowledge of farms and estates throughout the West Country, having been in practice in the area for over 40 years.
He specialises in rural estate management, access negotiations, rural arbitrations, valuations of all types of rural property and specifically Tenant Right Valuations.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys working his dogs in the shooting field and spending time with his family including his many grandchildren.
Leanne Whitford
Administrator
A key member of the team Leanne assists with grants, administration and accounts. Leanne is part-time working three days a week. Outside of work she is a busy mother of three girls, when spare time allows it a game of netball is a must.
Charlie Alford
Yard Foreman
Joined us beginning of Feb 2022 as a bit of hired muscle when setting up on site actions. Charlie soon found his role at the Truro Auction Centre as “the glue” which holds the site together. Charlie is not afraid to get his hands dirty and has even learnt how to use some of the Auction Technology. “You can teach an old dog new tricks”.
